All quests and costumes share the same pool of items.
For example, if you have 3/4 lipsticks for one quest or costume and 3/3 lipsticks for another, you actually have 3 lipsticks total (not 6). Completing the quest that requires 3/3 lipsticks will cause the quest counter for the other to drop to 0/4.
