As of 31 December 2023, Facebook (Meta) will be deprecating some of their Cloud Gaming services. As a result, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will no longer be available to be played on the Facebook platform. Players can continue their game and save file by downloading the mobile app from the App Store on Apple devices or Google Play for Android and logging into their Facebook account.

 

Where can I download the mobile app from?

 

What about my save? Will I lose my progress or owned items?

As long as you login to the same Facebook account on the mobile app that you used to log in on Facebook Cloud Gaming, you should be able to continue your save, including all of your purchased items. Please note that you must have the Facebook mobile app (not the “Lite” version) installed on your device and be logged into it, or you may encounter an error while logging into Facebook within Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. You do not need to have the Facebook app open while playing the game after you’ve logged in.

 

I’m getting an error while trying to sign into Facebook on the mobile app.

You do not need to have the Facebook app open while playing the game after you’ve logged in.

 

What are the device requirements for the mobile app version?

It’s recommended to play on devices that have at least 2GB of RAM. Please note that system RAM is different from system storage. Devices that have RAM specifications at and below the 2GB threshold may be able to run the application, but also may experience performance issues during gameplay, such as crashes or a reduction in graphical fidelity.

 

I don’t have a compatible device, can I be refunded for my purchase?

Jam City Support is unable to refund purchases made on Facebook. If you have any questions, please contact Facebook Support for assistance.

 

I don’t play on Facebook Cloud Gaming, I use the app…but I log in using my Facebook account. Am I going to lose any of my progress or the ability to log into my account?

No. Players who are already playing on iOS or Android and using their Facebook accounts to log in will not be impacted at all. This is only going to impact players who only access Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery on the Facebook Cloud Gaming platform - which is being deprecated on 31 December 2023.
