If you are playing on a computer:

  1. To improve performance, clear your browser's cache and cookies.The steps to do this for major browsers, like Chrome, Firefox and Safari, are below.
  2. Close and reopen your browser.
  3. If your game is still not working, please restart your computer and try to load the game again.
  4. If your game still doesn't work after all these steps, check that hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser settings:
  • In Firefox, click the menu button and select "Options.
    1. Click "General" settings.
    2. Make sure the box next to "Use hardware acceleration when available" is selected.
    3. Close and restart the browser for the change to take effect.
  • In Chrome, click the three stacked dots in upper right of the browser window.
    1. Click the arrow next to "Advanced" and select "System."
    2. Make sure the box next to "Use hardware acceleration when available" is toggled on.
    3. Close and restart the browser for the change to take effect.
  • In Internet Explorer, click the "Tools' icon, and select Internet Options.
    1. Click the Advanced tab, and under "Accelerated graphics."
    2. Make sure the "Use software rendering instead of GPU" rendering check box is not selected.
    3. Close and restart the browser for the change to take effect.
  • On Safari, this is called "Preferences," and is located in the Safari drop-down menu on Mac computers.
 
If you are playing on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch: 
First, please make sure that you are running the latest game version by visiting your mobile app store. If you're not sure if you have the latest version, please click here for steps on how to update your apps

  1. For devices with a home button, press this two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
    • For devices without a home button, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold your finger on the screen until these previews appear.
  2. Swipe your finger up on each of the apps you see to close them. Further help with this can be found here
  3. Press and hold the Power button until a slider appears.
  4. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  5. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
  6. Reopen the game and it will prompt you to reconnect to Facebook. If you had your game connected to Facebook, reconnect. 

We recommend you try these steps every once in a while to lower the frequency of the game freezing! If your game still freezes after you tried this for the first time, it may require that you close the app fully and turn it back on a second time.  

If you are playing on an Android or Kindle:
First, please make sure that you are running the latest game version by visiting your mobile app store. If you're not sure if you have the latest version, please click below for steps on how to update your apps.

  1. Force quit the app and all other apps you have running in the background. If you don't know how to force quit an app, please check out these steps
  2. Power off your device completely. This will probably require you to hold down your Power button and your Volume button at the same time, for several seconds. If you're not sure how to power off your device, please check out this link
  3. Wait for 10 seconds and turn your device back on. 
  4. Reopen the game and it will prompt you to reconnect to Facebook. If you had your game connected to Facebook, reconnect.
