Some of the ads in the game have a new "flow" and there are several additional steps needed to the close these ads beyond waiting for the ad to end so it can be closed. The steps for this are listed below:
- The ad will start playing.
- After the ad completes, an arrow, which looks like >>, will pop up on the top right corner.
- When the you tap on the >>, what’s known as an “End card” comes up (this may be playable card that you can interact with) and within 2-3 seconds another arrow >> comes up on the right side.
- Click on the >> and another banner should come up and within 1-2 seconds the “X” button shows up. This 3rd banner is where you can close the ad.
If you do not see this "flow" or the ad has frozen your device, or caused the game to crash, please follow these steps:
If you are playing on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch:
- For devices with a home button, press this two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
- For devices without a home button, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold your finger on the screen until these previews appear.
- Swipe your finger up on each of the apps you see to close them. Further help with this can be found here.
- Press and hold the Power button until a slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
- Reopen the game and it will prompt you to reconnect to Facebook. If you had your game connected to Facebook, reconnect.
We recommend you try these steps every once in a while to lower the frequency of the game freezing! If your game still freezes after you tried this for the first time, it may require that you close the app fully and turn it back on a second time.
If you are playing on an Android or Kindle:
- Force quit the app and all other apps you have running in the background. If you don't know how to force quit an app, please check out these steps.
- The steps to close apps may depend on your device; for more information, click here. For Kindle devices, follow these steps.
- Power off your device completely. This will probably require you to hold down your Power button and your Volume button at the same time, for several seconds. If you're not sure how to power off your device, please check out this link.
- Wait for 10 seconds and turn your device back on.
- Reopen the game and it will prompt you to reconnect to Facebook. If you had your game connected to Facebook, reconnect.
