Q. Can I access Beyond Hogwarts if I have not yet completed Year 7?

A. You must complete Year 7 to access Beyond Hogwarts. After completing Year 7, you will be able to access the continued Beyond Hogwarts story, just as you have progressed through years at Hogwarts. Players who are in Year 1-7 will be able to continue playing the game without impact.

 

Q. Is Beyond Hogwarts an entire new app or just an update?

A. This is an update to the existing game.

 

Q. Will the Beyond Hogwarts expansion affect the ability to run the game?

A. As with each new content release, there will be additional file space required on your device in order to continue supporting the game. Platform standards and guidelines will continue to be followed.

 

Q. Are N.E.W.T.s required for Beyond Hogwarts?

A. The completion of the “Take the N.E.W.T.s” Special Adventure is not required to graduate and begin your story Beyond Hogwarts.

 

Q. What will happen to my Avatar after graduation?

Your character will be aged-up with a taller frame that you can customise to your liking. All of the outfits that you have acquired will continue to be compatible with your aged-up character.

 

Q. Will there be new Aged-Up Customisation options?

We will continue to update customisation options to help personalise your character in line with your narrative progression.

 

Q. What will happen to all of my Resources after graduation?

All of your resources will be carried over after graduation, including Energy, Gems, Coins, Timer Toffees, Notebooks, Pages, Creature Food, and others.

 

Q. What will happen to my Attribute and XP Levels after graduation?

All of your attributes (Knowledge, Courage, Empathy) and XP levels will carry over and continue after graduation.

 

Q. What will happen to my Clubs XP after graduation?

All of your Club XP levels will carry over and continue after graduation. The energy and resource rewards and furniture items earned through Clubs progression will continue to be accessible to you in the new Former Student Centre, which will contain the Former Student Sphinx, Dragon, Hippogriff and Secret Clubhouses.

 

Q. What will happen to all of my outfits and furniture after Hogwarts?

All of your outfits and furniture will carry over and continue to be usable after graduation.

Existing outfits will be compatible with your aged-up character.

Dorm furniture will be usable in your new living space; Decor items that were previously only usable within the Secret Clubhouse will now be able to be used in both your living space and the new Former Student Secret Clubhouse.

 

Q. What will happen to all of my Dorm, Clubs and Secret Clubhouse energy and resource reward items?

All of your items will be relocated automatically to your new living space and the new Former Student Clubhouses within the Former Student Centre. Decor items that were previously only usable within the Secret Clubhouse will now be usable within your new living space as well as the new Former Student Secret Clubhouse.

 

Q. What will happen to my Pets?

All of your Pets will be relocated automatically to your new living space, unlocked after completing Beyond Hogwarts Volume 1, Chapter 1, Part 2.

 

Q. Will I still be able to engage with the Magical Creatures Reserve and Creature Expeditions after graduation?

Yes, you will continue to be able to visit and engage with the Magical Creature Reserve, all of the creatures residing there, as well as participate in Creature Expeditions. Magical Creature Side Quests that you have active but haven’t completed prior to graduation will continue to be accessible in a new section within the Quest Log entitled “Memories”.

 

Q. Where will I be able to find Creature Food after graduation?

The “Search for Creature Food” project will be relocated to a new location in the Magical Creature Reserve within the Hogwarts Outskirts, unlocked after completing Beyond Hogwarts Volume 1, Chapter 4.

 

Q. Will I still be able to engage with the Duelling Club after graduation?

Duelling will be relocated to a new location in London. As a new member of the Toothill Duelling Club in London, you will continue to be able to participate in the Duelling Club and Duelling Events.

 

Q. Will I still be able to access Pages Exchange at the Hogwarts Library?

This will be relocated to the new Former Student Centre.

 

Q. What will happen to any Side Quests that I haven’t yet completed when I graduate?

All Friendship, Romance, Magical Creature and Quidditch Side Quest content that you have active but haven’t completed prior to graduation will continue to be accessible in a new section within the Quest Log entitled “Memories” to allow you to engage with content from a time period prior to the one you are currently in.

 

Q. Will I be able to play Quidditch and complete Quidditch season stories and Special Adventures after Hogwarts?

Quidditch Side Quest content that you have active but haven’t completed prior to graduation will continue to be accessible in a new section within the Quest Log entitled “Memories”.

 

Quidditch Friendlies and Events will be temporarily paused. You will only be able to access Quidditch gameplay as required by any unfinished Quidditch Side Quest content.

 

If you have already completed Quidditch Side Quest content, the positions you have unlocked will be retained so that you can pick up where you left off when it is reintroduced.

 

Q. Will I still be able to complete previously released student Special Adventures that I haven’t been able to complete before graduation?

All Beyond Hogwarts players will be eligible to engage in all Student Special Adventures. When there is an active Student Special Adventure, it will be accessible in a new section within the Quest Log entitled “Memories” to allow you to engage with content from a time period prior to the one you are currently in. You can also initiate Student Special Adventures from the Memory Book.

 

Q. Will I still be able to engage in new student Special Adventures as they are released?

All Beyond Hogwarts players will be eligible to participate in all new Student Special Adventures, as they are released. These will be accessible in a new section within the Quest Log entitled “Memories” to allow you to engage with content from a time period prior to the one you are currently in.

 

Q. Will there be new Special Adventures and Side Quests released specifically for Beyond Hogwarts years?

Yes, there will continue to be new Special Adventures and Side Quests introduced in line with your Main Quest progression. These will be accessible in the Side Quest section of the Quest Log.

 

Q. Will my Friendships be impacted by graduation?

Your friendships will carry over and continue to develop after graduation. A few select friends will have cooldown periods between social encounters in line with their new living locations. Some friendships will be temporarily paused as characters explore their careers abroad.

While the “Play Gobstones” and “Meal with a Friend” encounters will no longer be active, you can participate in social encounters at The Three Broomsticks and other encounters you’ll be able to unlock as you explore the Beyond Hogwarts story.

 

Q. Will my Romantic Relationships be impacted by graduation?

Your romantic relationships will carry over and continue to develop after graduation. All partner options will continue to be available. While the “Garden Date” and “Courtyard Date” encounters will no longer be active, you can go on dates at Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop, regardless of romance level achieved, as well as other date locations you’ll unlock as you explore the Beyond Hogwarts story.

 

Q. Will I still be able to access “Study with a Friend” at the Hogwarts Library?

We are looking at future options for bringing this into the game for Beyond Hogwarts players.

 

 

Q. Will we ever return to Hogwarts after graduating?

Yes, Hogwarts will always be a part of your story, even after you are no longer a student. Your Beyond Hogwarts adventures will present opportunities to return to school and visit with the professors as well as engage in repeatable Wizarding Tasks such as “Hang out with Hagrid” and “Ask for Advice” with Dumbledore. You will continue to have access to Hogwarts locations to explore and pick up the extra tappable reward items hidden around the castle and its grounds. Note that Study Sessions and the House Common Rooms will no longer be accessible to former students of Hogwarts.

The Beyond Hogwarts story begins on 31 July 1991, a short time after Year 7 concludes. That September, Harry Potter will begin his first year at Hogwarts.

Over your school career, you have met a number of familiar faces who will continue to play an integral role in your life and Harry Potter’s. Just as with your past seven school years, the new Beyond Hogwarts story aims to adhere closely to canon timelines while remaining centered on you and your life in the Wizarding World.

 

Your Beyond Hogwarts story begins on the same day as Harry re-enters the wizarding world, setting off alongside Hagrid in Diagon Alley to shop for school supplies. If you take a moment to explore the Diagon Alley hub after catching up with Hagrid at the start of Volume 1 Chapter 1, you will see young Mr. Potter waiting outside Ollivanders. As your life Beyond Hogwarts unfolds, you will be focused on your own adventures and challenges; however, Harry’s activities at school do tend to create ripples…

 

Q. Will I pursue a career of my choosing? **SPOILER**

You will be recruited to join a top-secret organisation that requires knowledge of all types. Shortly after joining, you will unlock the ability to Specialise in three tracks: Auror, Healer or Magizoologist. You can choose to explore all three or focus on one track.
